One Day Hand Building Pottery Workshop

Who can attend? 

Hand building pottery can be learnt by people of all skill levels and ages, from beginners to  experienced potters. There is no prior experience required. As a novice, you can come and explore clay and pottery in this workshop. 

Hand building pottery is a great activity for people who enjoy working with their hands rather than the  wheel. It can be a relaxing and meditative experience and can be enjoyed as a hobby or as a form of  self-expression. 

What will you learn? 

In this workshop, you can learn techniques for creating pottery using your hands instead of a wheel.  Some of the things include: 

• Clay preparation: You will learn how to prepare clay for hand building, including wedging and conditioning the clay to remove air bubbles and create a smooth consistency.
• You will be taught the right technique to handle the clay achieve the desired results
• Firing and Glazing is included in the workshop. Post the workshop we will glaze the article for you.
• we do offer few selected glaze colors only.

Points to Note 

• There is nothing that needs to be carried by you for the workshop. All tools, materials, apron, glazes and consumables will be provided at the studio.
• Before firing the articles, it needs to dry up properly. Drying depends on the weather conditions too therefore it may take longer sometimes for the articles to become dry.
• Once the firing is complete, you need to pick up your articles from the studio. Articles will be handed over only on weekends between 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Due to space  constraints, articles not picked within a month will be discarded. 
• Wear appropriate clothing that makes working on the wheel comfortable for you.
• Keep the workspace clean and free of residual clay. Wipe down your work area, tools, and equipment after use.
• Keep noise levels to a minimum to maintain a peaceful and creative environment.
• Smoking is strictly not allowed in the studio premises

Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy

• The booking amount includes GST. A receipt & payment acknowledgement will be auto-mailed to you post the booking.
• GST Invoice will be given once you visit the studio for workshop
• No show or absence in the workshop cannot be considered for refund.
• we will not provide the refund for any cancellation.
• Seats can be blocked only after 100% payment.
• rescheduling the workshop is not possible.
